Rowan Ford Dawson is the face of ‘Circus In A Flash’ an established freelance circus company based in Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty. Entertainment with a circus twist is our point of difference, with superheroes the speciality. Rowan and his team of performers provide awesome kids parties, walk-about entertainment and stage acts for private events, malls, and corporate and council events and festivals.
Rowan specialises in performing and teaching circus skills to kids and adults through community, disability and holiday programmes. He first discovered he wanted to learn the art of circus after attending a juggling festival in Wellington. He then completed Christchurch Polytechnic’s ‘Diploma of Circus Arts’ where he specialized in uni-cycling, body balance, trapeze and clowning.
We now have a team of performers that are professionally circus trained with key skills include unicycling, acrobatics, trapeze, acro-balance, hand and object balance, clowning, stilt walking, juggling, rola-bola, yo-yo, fire performing, with great character work and more.
In 2011 Rowan was seen on the Rugby World Cup opening ceremony jumping and flipping his way down a 30 story building, proving he is truly up for anything! He has also worked as a Clown Doctor at Starship Hospital.
